You may have to take a pay cut or enter at a lower level to get into the company or industry you want, however, you will be taking steps in the right direction.<\/p>\n

Speak to others who already have the job you want. Find out how they got there, what skills they have or perhaps what study they have completed. This can be helpful in identifying what you need to do to get the ball rolling. You may find you need to upskill or learn more about the industry or position.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Set a plan<\/p>\n
You know what job you want, and now it\u2019s time to plan how you are going to get there. Spend some time mapping out the steps you need to take. It could be searching job boards, speaking to one of our recruitment consultants, updating your resume or upskilling. Write down a list of actions. Writing down steps can be a powerful way to set your intention as well as acting as your to-do list.<\/p>\n

We spend the majority of our time at work, so find something that lights you up. Remember a little bit of perseverance, research and commitment can go a long way.<\/p>\n
