But \u2013 how often do you stick to them? Resolutions can create unnecessary pressure and make us feel demotivated when we don\u2019t stick to them! Saying that knowing what you want out of the year can be incredibly useful. So, what\u2019s the answer? Set goals.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how in 5 easy steps.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Write down your top three goals for 2019. Let\u2019s say one of your goals is to: Find a new job.<\/li>\n<li>Under each goal, create micro-goals. For example, if you\u2019re main goal is to find a new job.<br \/>\nYour micro goals might be:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Job hunting online<\/li>\n<li>Update resume<\/li>\n<li>Call recruiter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li value=\"&quot;3&quot;\">For each micro goal, schedule in time. For example, you could have: Job hunting online \u2013 ten minutes every day.<\/li>\n<li value=\"&quot;4&quot;\">Set a timeframe for your main goal. For example, \u2018Find a new job by March 2019.\u2019 If you don\u2019t meet the timeframe, don\u2019t worry! Re-visit your goal and consider what else you need to do to get there.<\/li>\n<li value=\"&quot;5&quot;\">Place your goals up on the wall (or somewhere you will see them regularly).
